Chardonneret (or Chardonneret Elégant, to give it its full name) was added onto the end of what is now our house in 1843.
(Spot the date etched into the stone to the rear of the barn!) Formerly an animal barn, it has been renovated and subsequently modernised to offer fully
wheelchair-disabled friendly accommodation, with easy ground floor level access and specially widened entrance and interior doors.
Wheelchair access within the gite is made easy with the open-plan aspect. Thoughtful touches such as accessibly positioned plug sockets and 'drive under' basins have proved popular with guests.
Chardonneret is ideal as a romantic hideaway, or as an economical long-stay let while looking for your own property in the area. Chardonneret is essentially an open-plan apartment, large and roomy with a separate bathroom.
The bathroom comprises of a toilet, bidet, bath with shower over. We also provide cleaning materials here, as well as toilet rolls to get you started. While we would ask you to leave the gite in a clean and tidy condition when you leave, we don't expect you to spend your last day cleaning it for the next guests. That's our job!
All lets of a week or more include our welcome pack of fresh local goodies, including a bottle of wine to enjoy upon your arrival!
